We bought a house!

How f***ing exciting. It’s been nearly a year and a half of living with my grandparents in their tiny 2 bed house, trying to fit my belongings between their own and leaving my house at 7:30am to get to work for 9am (I know, first world issues) but I am finally moving out. Honestly it’s been a really tough couple of years and I have been in a pretty dark place.
I believe that my living environment has been a contribution factor to my mental health issues, not because where I live is horrific, because my grandparents have been amazing. Even before that, although my mum’s bf is an asshole I wasn’t homeless and lived in a gorgeous house. I think the worst thing has been that nowhere I have lived for the past 5 years has been permanent and finally I can say… I am a home owner and I have a permanent place of residence that is all mine (well 50%).
I am so incredibly lucky to have a wonderful mumma that has helped me with this process, and of course has gone 50/50 as without her this wouldn’t have been possible and I’d have ended up living with my grandparents for the rest of my 20’s.
I have wanted to post about this so much but I was so nervous that something would go wrong or it wouldn’t work out that I held back sharing online. But now I know I am getting the keys on the 20th of December I just couldn’t wait to shout it from the roof tops!
The most fun yet stressful part has been me and my mum going back and forth, over and over about picking things such as the kitchen, flooring and all the bits and pieces that just go in to putting together a house.
Thank you to all my colleagues, friends and family for listening to me go on and on about this house and my worries and stresses! You are all amazing and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you all! And ofc my amazing mum, I know I’m moody and hard work at times but you have really made my dreams come and changed my life and I can’t thank you enough for everything.
We have picked out so many things but as you can see below it is still in progress and once I am moved in and decorated I will share some of my déco and interior inspo, i'm sure I will bore everyone with my new house chat, but i'm so damn excited.

Thanks so much for reading and the continued support.
Leah xoxo
